Electrical Technician

Job Purpose

• To achieve high electrical equipment and systems reliability through the execution of safe, efficient and environmental sound maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs electrical related tasks that include inspection, testing, repair, modifying, isolation, reinstatement and servicing activities to site electrical equipment and systems, HV and LV.
• Use site maintenance procedures (critical, normal, work aids) for procedure related tasks.
• Complies with legislative and Company Occupational Health and Safety requirements and established safe working practices.
• Participates in work planning activities including but not limited to:
  • Job scoping
  • JSA preparation
  • Parts ordering
  • Time estimation
• In conjunction with operators and other maintenance personnel, ensures that equipment is safe for maintenance execution and that equipment is safely returned to service.
• Competent use of workshop machinery, equipment and relevant specialist tooling.
• Able to resource warehouse materials efficiently.
• Uses maintenance consumables in a cost-effective manner.
• Completion of required site maintenance documentation including technical details and formally closing out works.
• Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses in accordance with procedures.
• Participation in incident reporting and incident investigation and review.
