Our philosophy is that accidents do not simply happen – they are caused by hazardous conditions or actions. The main thing is to prevent incidents and damage of any kind.
Should an emergency nevertheless arise, an emergency preparedness organization will be established in line with the refinery’s emergency preparedness plan.
Appropriate management of equipment, crude oil and products is a prerequisite for avoiding fires, explosions and acute pollution. Fire drills and oil spill preparedness exercises are organized regularly to ensure that crews are well trained and that the equipment is efficient and adequately tested.
