State Pollution Agency (SFT) Control
The SFT regularly performs inspections at the refinery. In 2004, a joint revision was performed by SFT and the Petroleum Safety Authority (PTIL) regarding follow-up of the refinery's regulations on major incidents. The SFT found no deviations or anything to report during this inspection.

Inspection and renovation of pipeline system on the jetty and on site tanks
A major work regarding risk assessment, inspection and renovation of the pipeline system has been ongoing for more than four years. The pipeline systems in the harbour area have been inspected and renovated at a cost of around NOK 50 million.
