Mobilgard™ 560 VS cylinder oil provides wear protection for slow-speed engines that use low-sulphur heavy fuels. It can help to promote extended engine life, lengthen overhaul intervals and reduce total vessel operating costs.

Mobilgard 560 VS oil helps provide optimal reliability in severe operating conditions, including slow steaming at low feed rates. It offers good detergency, thermal and oxidation properties, as well as antiwear properties.

Mobilgard 560 VS cylinder oil was engineered in close collaboration with leading marine engine builders. It has No Objection Letters from MAN Diesel & Turbo for use with heavy fuels up to 1.5 per cent sulphur, Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd. (formerly Wärtsilä) for heavy fuels up to 2.5 per cent sulphur, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It has demonstrated excellent performance in earlier engine designs and during slow-speed steaming operation.
