mv Frisian achieves oil drain interval breakthrough with ExxonMobil

ExxonMobil helped mv Frisian to reduce oil consumption and optimise its oil drain intervals. The vessel owner was seeking to extend the vessel’s current oil drain intervals of just 500 hours and save on oil consumption.

Authorised ExxonMobil distributors were able to recommend switching to Mobilgard™ HSD+ 15W-40 and combining this with a used oil analysis programme. From this campaign, the Mobil Serv Lubricant Analysis (MSLA) report was able to responsibly recommend a six times increase in optimal oil drain intervals and a significant cut in oil consumption for the vessel.*
