Spring, Texas – Jan. 13, 2016 – ExxonMobil Mobil Jet Oil 387, a synthetic High Performance Capability (HPC)* turbine engine oil, is now fully approved for use in a range of GE Aviation’s GE90 engines including the GE 90-76B, GE 90-85B, GE 90-90B, GE 90-94B, GE 90- 110B1 and GE 90-115B.

First introduced by GE Aviation in 1995 for use on the Boeing 777 aircraft, the GE90 is one of the world’s most powerful turbofan engine series and it is used by many leading airlines today.

“Mobil Jet Oil 387 oil passed a series of rigorous testing requirements and this approval is a significant milestone,” said Vipin Rana, global aviation sales manager at ExxonMobil. “Airlines can now use Mobil Jet Oil 387 in a wide range of GE90 engines to help them meet their business and maintenance goals.”

To meet GE’s GE90 engine series specifications, Mobil Jet Oil 387 oil was subjected to extensive testing both on the ground and in-flight. With more than 60,000 hours of on-wing experience, Mobil Jet Oil 387 oil helps maintain engine cleanliness, provides excellent seal compatibility and delivers outstanding overall protection for GE90 engines.

In addition to this latest approval, Mobil Jet Oil 387 oil has been approved for use by numerous engine manufacturers in a wide range of models and components. It is also approved for a range of demanding industry specifications, including SAE AS5780 HPC and US Military Specification MIL-PRF-23699-HTS.
